About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Trade Qualified Carpenters to join our team for ongoing local government projects in the Mount Isa region.

This is a dynamic role that offers a diverse range of work across both commercial council buildings and local residential properties. Key Responsibilities

• Perform general carpentry maintenance, repairs, and renovations on local government commercial buildings and facilities.
• Execute carpentry works for local residential properties, including structural repairs, fit-outs, and upgrades.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Ensure all work complies with the National Construction Code (NCC) and local council building standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant worksite at all times.

Mandatory Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:

• Australian Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent Australian recognised qualification).
• Current Licensing: A valid Queensland Construction White Card and any other relevant current trade licenses.
• Fitness for Work: Must be able to successfully pass a mandatory pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test.
• Driver’s License: A valid Australian manual driver’s license.
• Safety Focus: A strong commitment to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices.
